FAQ
Maybe this is better for a counselor?
This is an important question, and I respect anyone willing to ask it honestly.
Coaching and counseling can both be valuable, but they serve different purposes. Counseling or therapy is often the better fit when you need support for trauma, clinical anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, mental health concerns, or emotional pain that requires licensed clinical care.
Coaching is focused on awareness, leadership, decision-making, patterns, goals, personal growth, mindset, communication, and practical forward movement. In coaching, we may talk about pressure, dread, overwhelm, identity, confidence, relationships, and stress – but we are doing that in service of helping you see patterns, make decisions, strengthen your leadership, and move forward with greater clarity.
Sometimes coaching is the right fit. Sometimes counseling is the right fit. Sometimes both can be helpful at the same time in tandem. The goal is not to force you into coaching. The goal is to help you get the right kind of support for the season you are in.
